OUR MENTORS
Our mentors are from the 350+ Charter Members of TiE Silicon Valley, and others. Charter Membership is by invite-only for highly accomplished professionals with a willingness to give back. This group includes successful entrepreneurs, VCs, angels, and industry executives.
In TiE LaunchPad, you select a dedicated mentor to work with you weekly for the duration of the 5 month program. This deep one-to-one relationship is augmented by access to other Charter Members and TiE resources.
Our mentors come from various industries including Mobile, Cloud, Networking, Security, Big Data and functional domains like fundraising, sales, marketing, management, engineering and finance.
OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR
Overseeing the program is Prashant Shah, Managing Director of TiE LaunchPad. Prashant has been an early stage venture investor since 2001. He is an active Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley, a former member of its Board of Directors, and Co-Chair of TiE Angels. Previously, he spent 10 years at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, an early stage VC focused on enterprise and infrastructure software. Prior to Hummer Winblad, Prashant's background spans all seven layers of the OSI stack with product management roles at enCommerce (acquired by Entrust), Cypress Semiconductor and AT&T. Prashant received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
